2 pedestrians struck and killed in separate incidents in Peel region

Two pedestrians have been struck and killed in separate incidents in Peel region on Monday night.

A 41-year-old Mississauga man died en route to hospital after he was struck by a vehicle at Dixie Road and Bloor Street at 8:45 p.m.

Peel regional police say the vehicle remained on scene and an investigation is underway.

There’s no word on charges.

Police are asking any witnesses to come forward.

Not long after, another pedestrian was struck and killed at Mississauga Road and Queen Street West in Brampton. The victim, a 30-year-old man, died at the scene.

The driver remained on scene and an investigation is underway.
