TTC begins testing service on Line 1 extension

The TTC begins testing service on the new York Region subway extension on Sunday.
The so-called “ghost service” will operate between Sheppard West and Vaughan Metropolitan Stations.
Trains on Line 1 will off-load customers at Sheppard West station before continuing north, making regular stops at the new stations.
The TTC says the testing will allow operators to become familiar with the extension and its new features.
The ghost service will continue until the new stations officially open on December 17th.
