Man driving home from TFC game killed in Brampton crash

A 42-year-old Caledon man driving home from a Toronto FC playoff game was killed in a crash in Brampton early Thursday morning.
The crash, involving a SUV and a tractor-trailer, happened on Mayfield Drive, in area of the Gore Road and Countryside Drive, around 1:30 a.m.
It appears the SUV was heading west when the driver crossed into the eastbound lane and hit the tractor-trailer head-on.
The driver of the SUV, Leo Abraham, died at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.
Abraham’s friend told 680 NEWS they carpooled to the game together.
“We watched the game, we came back, and then he dropped me off at Costco and he drove all the way back home and I drove back to my place.”
He also said the victim is married and has children.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
