3 dead after head-on crash on Highway 7 in Pickering

Three people are dead and a fourth is in life-threatening condition after a head-on crash on Highway 7 in Pickering Thursday afternoon.
According to police, a BMW travelling westbound on Highway 7 was attempting to pass another vehicle when it collided with a Mercedes-Benz between sidelines 26 and 28 around noon on Thursday.
Three people in the BMW were pronounced dead at the scene. Ornge airlifted a fourth to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. She has since been taken to a trauma centre in Toronto.
The driver of the Mercedes-Benz suffered minor injuries.
The car that was being passed was not involved in the crash.
Police say conditions at the time of the crash were not that bad. It was sunny and there was snow being blown across the highway.
