4 family members charged in 2017 Mississauga murder

Four members of one family have been arrested in connection with a murder in Mississauga last year, Peel police say.

Shane Thomas, 28, was gunned down on Mississauga Valley Boulevard, near Burnhamthorpe Road East and Hurontario Street on March 1, 2017.

At the time, police believed the shooting was an isolated incident.

On Thursday, police arrested eight people and charged them with eight offences including first-degree murder and accessory after the fact. Below is the full list of those charged:

  • Victor Brooks, 23, from Mississauga — charged with first-degree murder
  • Shantel Manbauman, 24, from Brampton — charged with first-degree murder
  • Sarah Jimenez, 48, from Mississauga — charged with accessory after the fact
  • Kyesha Brooks, 26, from Mississauga — charged with accessory after the fact
  • Roger Brooks Sr., 49, from Mississauga — charged with accessory after the fact
  • Roger Brooks Jr., 24, from Mississauga — charged with accessory after the fact, conspiracy to commit robbery, domestic assault and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Sarah Parsons, 25, from Mississauga — charged with accessory after the fact, and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Jermoll Bain, 25, from Toronto — charged with accessory after the fact, conspiracy to commit robbery, domestic assault and breach of recognizance
