3 more women accuse tanning salon owner of sex assault

Three more women have come forward saying they were sexually assaulted by the co-owner of a tanning salon in Mississauga.

Gary Edwards, 44, was first charged on April 19 after two women, aged 23 and 29, reported being sexually assaulted during sessions at Tanned Bodies, a salon on Confederation Parkway near Dundas Street West.

Since then, a 19-year-old woman said she was sexually assaulted during a tanning session at the salon on May 2, 2015, and an 18-year-old said she was sexually assaulted during a tanning session at Edwards’s home.

Also, an 18-year-old employee said Edwards sexually assaulted her while she worked at the Tanned Bodies location on Rathburn Road West.

On Tuesday, police charged Edwards with three more counts of sexual assault.

They are asking any other victims and witnesses to call them.
