It appears that Jimmy Kimmel still likes to talk about Canadian politics, especially when it comes to the Ford family.

Toronto-born comedian Samantha Bee, host of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, was one of the guests who was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night.

After the usual pleasantries, Kimmel asked Bee which part of Canada she is from, to which she replied that she is from Toronto.

The acknowledgement drew a cheer from the crowd, but one man’s voice was louder than the rest. Bee referred to that man and joked: “That gentleman is the mayor of Toronto.”

To which Kimmel said “That gentleman used to be the mayor of Toronto” — referring to the late Rob Ford, who Kimmel loved to talk about every chance he could.

Speaking of the Fords, Kimmel mentioned that Ford’s brother, Ontario PC Leader Doug Ford, is running for premier of Ontario.

“The Ford family, it’s a dynasty. That’s the Canadian dynasty,” Bee replied with a laugh.

Bee added that Canada has its “share of characters.”

Rob Ford was the target of jokes on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and other late night shows ever since allegations arose in May 2013 about the former mayor’s drug use.
