Images released of men wanted in beating that left teen in coma

Toronto police have released images of two men wanted in connection with a robbery and unprovoked beating that left a 19-year-old man in a coma for several days.

Police say a man was riding his bicycle towards a plaza on Parkway Forest Drive, near Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue East, in North York when he was confronted by several people who robbed him.

He began to cycle away but was struck by a weighted object.

That’s when police say 15 people surrounded him. Some of the members of the group began assaulting him, while others cheered on, police said.

The cyclist suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital. He was in a coma for several days and is now recovering.

On Thursday, police executed a series of search warrants, arresting six people. Five are under the age of 18 and can’t be named.

Among those arrested was 36-year-old Hassan Hassan, of Toronto. He is facing a charge of aggravated assault.

Police released the images of two outstanding suspects.

They are Nakhari Henry-Robinson, 18, and Tajon James, 19, both of Toronto.

Henry-Robinson is wanted for aggravated assault and fail to comply with a court order. James is wanted for aggravated assault and robbery.
