House burns down in Markham; unknown if anyone inside

A house burned down in Markham on Monday evening.
York Region police say the call came in around 7:45 p.m. for a blaze at a home on Larkin Avenue near 16th Avenue.
A witness told 680 NEWS the home looked like “it was about to collapse.” Another witness said they heard an explosion.
Markham Fire says it has no information on whether anyone was in the home at the time of the fire and no word on what may have caused it.
