Man arrested after attack on pregnant woman in Eaton Centre

Toronto police arrested a 50-year-old man after a pregnant woman was attacked in Toronto Eaton Centre on Saturday night.

Police say the woman was waiting near a washroom, leaning against a wall around 9:40 p.m., when a man approached her and assaulted her “in the stomach area.”

She was taken to hospital with minor injuries and released shortly after.

Lander Donee, of no fixed address, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with assault causing bodily harm.

He is due in court on Wednesday morning.

ive seen this useless hobo all around downtown screamimg at people and all aggressive… ill punch him in the neck if i see him and citizens arrest that fool what a piece of trash

@dave smith1111: There are a lot of people downtown with mental challenges. For example, the Starbucks at Yonge/college-barista’s have to be bouncers and mental health workers with the cliental that visit that store on a regular basis. They are hired as baristas.
This is a huge over arching problem within the community,. government, mental health act, mental health facilities, not being able to form people when they visit Er..so on and so forth. What area would you like to advocate in?
