Canada’s airlines and airports fare badly in world ranking

Travel in Canada does not measure up when compared to airports and airlines across the globe, according to a new survey.

In the rankings released by AirHelp, Qatar Airways came out on top as the world’s best airline for service, on-time performance and claim compensation processing.

Canada’s three airlines, Air Canada, WestJet and Air Transat managed to crack the top 50, ranking 40th, 41st and 44th respectively.

But Air Canada managed to rank last of all 141 airlines analyzed when it came to on-time performance. WestJet and Air Transat were also in the bottom 10.

The Hamad International airport in Doha, Qatar ranked number one for best airport.
