Teen charged after man, 73, dies of injuries sustained during robbery

Peel police say a 15-year-old male has been charged after a 73-year-old man died from the injuries sustained during a robbery in Brampton.

Officers say the victim and a family member were walking through Aloma Park on Tuesday around 10 p.m. when they were approached by two males, who then allegedly robbed them and fled the area.

Amarjit Bhatnagar was injured during the alleged robbery and died in hospital on Thursday.

Homicide investigators have arrested and charged one male from Brampton with manslaughter and robbery. He has not been identified.

He will appear in court on Friday.

Charge and sentence them as an adult. Far too many youths think nothing of the lives of others and randomly waste it like its free. The youth want to act reckless yet want to be treated like adults. Fine, lets treat them like adults and sentence them accordingly.
