Three men, including two teenagers, face kidnapping charges following an incident on Friday.
Peel Regional Police say a 16-year-old was approached by three other men around 5:30 p.m. while at a soccer centre at Sandalwood Parkway and Dixie Road in Brampton.
The teen was forced to get into a car at gunpoint, had his cell phone taken from him and was assaulted when he attempted to get away.
After being driven to the victim’s home, the 16-year-old managed to escape when several other witnesses intervened. The suspects then fled the area in their car but were located by police several hours later.
Tej Boparai, 20, and a 17-year-old male – both from Richmond Hill – and a 16-year old from Scarborough face kidnapping charges along with several other weapons offences, including assault and robbery.
