Boy Hit By Car After Getting Off TTC Bus

A 14-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car while crossing Senlac Avenue in North York on Friday.
The teen had just apparently gotten off a bus when he tripped and fell into oncoming traffic. He bounced off the windshield of the car in a manner that stunned witnesses.
“I’ve never seen anything like that before in my life, it just really upset me. And I was a little bit queasy,” admits Michelle Lumb.
“I was on the left-hand side window seat at the back of the bus so I pretty much saw everything, unfortunately,” she adds.
The teen suffered multiple fractures and is now in serious condition.
Police are warning drivers and pedestrians to be extra cautious this summer.
“Children are not taking the time to look and motorists have to anticipate that and drive with that in mind,” said Sgt. Tony Lawson.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
