BT Gearing Up For 2nd Annual Viewer Appreciation Day

They’re the people you wake up to every morning – now the Breakfast Television crew wants you to get in on the action.

Friday is the second annual BT Viewer Appreciation Day, beginning at 6am in the Citytv parking lot at 299 Queen St. West. It’s shaping up to be even bigger and more colourful than last year’s bash according to host Kevin Frankish.

“This place is going to be packed and we’re going to start out of course – we’re going to be up here doing our regular interviews, the band’s going to be up there – Disco,” Frankish detailed.

“The food will be down here. We’re having hamburgers and hot dogs from M&Ms for breakfast and corn-on-the-cob as well.”

There are also going to be tons of prizes, including a 37-inch LCD television from Sharp, and Toronto Argonauts private boxes to see a game with nine of your friends, Home Depot gift certificates and gift bags for the first 100 people to show up.

“If you’re going to be at one event this year, this is the event you want to be (at),” Frankish enthuses. “We can’t believe … last year we were overwhelmed by the number of people who showed up.”

All the BT personalities will be at the party. Gardening Specialist Frank Ferragine, aka Frankie Flowers, will have a booth set up to answer all your gardening questions, LiveEye host Jennifer Valentyne will entertain the crowds, and Tracy Moore will be reading the news from the balcony above. She might even enlist a lucky viewer or two to help her.

If you plan on showing up, space is limited so don’t hesitate.
