Kate Hudson, Chris Robinson Separating After Six Years Of Marriage

Back when she co-starred with Naomi Watts in the comedy Le Divorce, actress Kate Hudson probably never thought she’d be the one entering Splitsville.

But that appears to be the case for the Oscar-nominated actress and her rocker husband Chris Robinson. The two have separated after being married for six years, according to a spokesperson for the actress.

Hudson, 27, and the 39-year-old Black Crowes frontman didn’t offer details on why they decided to call it quits. They were wed on New Year’s Eve, 2000, and have a two-year-old son, Ryder.

The news was first reported by People magazine on its website.

Hudson, the daughter of actress Goldie Hawn, became a star after playing rock groupie Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe’s 2000 film Almost Famous – a role that earned her an Academy Award nomination.

She’s currently starring with Matt Dillon and Owen Wilson in the comedy You, Me and Dupree, about newlyweds whose house guest overstays his welcome.

Robinson’s band is best known for the hits Hard to Handle, Remedy and She Talks To Angels.
