Four Killed In Alberta Plane Crash

Officials are investigating a fatal plane crash in northern Alberta that killed all four people on board.

The single-engine Cessna went down about half a kilometre south of the hamlet of Deadwood, which is about 570km northwest of Edmonton, around 10pm Saturday.

The 49-year-old pilot, Nick Gudzinski, his 19-year-old son Jonathan, his son’s 16-year-old girlfriend and her 15-year-old brother were all killed in the crash.

The pilot’s surviving son said his father had been flying for about 15 years and usually went up about twice a week.

Authorities are still trying to figure out what caused the crash and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada has assigned two investigators to the case.

It’s believed the plane was on a sightseeing tour when it went down.
