The shots rang out just after 5am outside a bar just west of Logan. The victims were taken by ambulance to hospital for emergency surgery and both are listed in serious, but stable condition.

There’s no word yet on suspects.


Teens Arrested For Alleged High School Robbery

Three accused gang members are under arrest after a robbery at a Toronto high school earlier this week.

Police allege the three 16-year-old suspects robbed an entire gym class at Vaughan Road Academy. Twenty-five Grade 9 students were forced to empty their pockets on Tuesday before being allowed out of the boys’ change room.

The teens – who are also accused of being members of the Bloods street gang – have been charged with robbery.


Retirement Home Dispute

A 91-year-old man is facing a charge of attempted murder after he allegedly attacked his 83-year-old roommate at an Etobicoke retirement home Friday night.

A staff member was doing his rounds around 11pm at the seniors home at 420 The East Mall when he noticed the suspect washing blood from his hands, according to police. The victim, who was apparently beaten with the foot rest of a wheelchair, was rushed to hospital with wounds to his head and face. He’s in stable condition and is expected to survive.


Bomb Scare

A bomb scare sent shoppers scattering from the food court at the Vaughan Mills Mall Saturday.T

The York Regional bomb squad robot was called into action but did not have to be used. Police explosives experts examined the stuffed toy but found no bomb. The hoax shut down the food court for four hours.
