Men Consider George Clooney To Be The Ultimate Guy

But apparently the men think that as well.

According to a list compiled by the Web site AskMen.com, the Syriana star tops their list of what they call the 49 best representatives of the male gender.

Ranking behind Clooney on the list are rap artist and mogul Jay-Z, entrepreneur Richard Branson, multiple Tour de France-winning cyclist Lance Armstrong, and designer Tom Ford, who recently posed on the cover of Vanity Fair alongside a nude Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley when he was guest editor.

The list was gathered from nominations sent in by readers of the online magazine. Voters were asked to name the top “ambassadors of male-kind” based on traits like integrity, charisma and intelligence.

Former U.S. president Bill Clinton came in 10th and golf genius Tiger Woods achieved 13th, while acclaimed chef and travel show host Anthony Bourdain ranked 19th on the list.

“I shall be sure to spend the week shooting things, barbecuing, drinking manly drinks to excess and high-fiving loudly while watching organized athletics,” Bourdain said.

U2 rocker Bono came in 27th, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was 29th, and The Departed director Martin Scorsese was in 46th. Barely making the list, at number 49, was Entourage star Jeremy Piven.
