Kate Moss Backs Up McCartney In Divorce Case

Moss, who’s best friends with McCartney’s fashion designer daughter Stella, accused Mills McCartney of talking ‘utter bull****’ in regards to her relationship with the former Beatle.

The 32-year-old was quoted in British publication The Sun as saying she didn’t believe Mills McCartney’s claim that she was forced to crawl to the bathroom at night because Paul wouldn’t buy her a bedpan. Mills McCartney lost one of her legs in a motorcycle accident.

Moss has reportedly promised she’ll testify on McCartney’s behalf if required in court.

Meanwhile, Mills McCartney has sued two other publications – the Daily Mail and London’s Evening Standard – and is allegedly planning to sue The Sun over “false, damaging and immensely upsetting” stories about the break-up.

Her law firm Mishcon de Reya suggests their client has been vilified in reports about the divorce proceedings. It claimed other newspapers were writing negative stories about her.

“She cannot sue — for now, at least — every single newspaper that has published false, damaging, and immensely upsetting statements about her. She should not thereby be taken to have accepted that these statements are true,” read a statement from the firm.

Associated Newspapers, which publishes the Daily Mail and the Evening standard, stood by its stories saying they “were obtained by proper methods and in accordance with good journalistic practice.”

The McCartney divorce has descended into the most venomous U.K. marital split since the breakup a decade ago of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Last week the Daily Mail published a story that included apparent legal papers filed by Mills McCartney’s lawyers against the singer claiming drug use, indifference to her health issues including her amputated leg, and even assault.

The singer’s lawyers have said they’ll vigorously dispute those claims.
