Donald Woods was found dead in his transport truck on June 23rd. The 35-year-old had been shot to death and his cargo stolen.

The slain trucker was transporting air-chilled chicken and police claim the load of poultry was shipped to Toronto after the murder where it was sold.

Durham police worked in co-operation with Montreal detectives on this case and on Friday a Montreal man was arrested in Brampton.

Paul Cyr is facing a number of charges, including first-degree murder, forcible confinement, and theft over $5,000. He appeared in an Oshawa court Saturday for a bail hearing and was remanded into custody.

Although police have made an arrest, they’re still asking anyone with information on this case to contact them at (905) 579-1520 ext 3270 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
