Nov. 8 – StreetBeat – Man Arrested After Variety Store B&E

The shopkeepers were inside at the time and the suspect cut himself on some broken glass as he tried to flee the scene.

TTC security workers happened to be walking by while the crime was taking place and followed the suspect until police arrested him near Church and Granby.


Sudden Shooting

A man was shot Wednesday night on Flemington Road, near Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The victim is in hospital with serious injuries. The 911 call was made at around 7:30pm. There’s no word on suspects or what led to the violence.


Road Rage

A 33-year-old American trucker is facing a slew of weapons charges after a violent road rage incident on the 401 near Mavis.

The disagreement between the two truckers ended with a gun being pulled and a shot fired. Luckily no one was hurt and the suspect was arrested a short time later.

He’s scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing Thursday.


Traffic Troubles

A sinkhole created traffic headaches in Leaside Wednesday.

The big pothole opened up on Millwood Avenue at Bayview, prompting city crews to shut down Millwood for one block east of Bayview.

The city says repairs could take up to a week.
