Spray Paint Suspects

Peel police have suspects Saturday night, in a bizarre case of vandalism at Mississauga’s Palestine House near Burnhamthorpe and Mavis Rds.

Along with the misguided message, “Jews Plus Nazi equals Palestine”, someone spray painted a Star of David on the building. Two 17-year-old boys and a 17-year-old girl are charged with mischief.

Ecstasy Bust

A huge ecstasy bust at the border Saturday night put two local men behind bars in New York. Customs agents found 27,000 pills, equal to $600,000 worth of the illegal drug in a car trying to cross into the U.S. at the Peace Bridge.

Mississauga’s Hugh Wilson and Maple’s Rohan Dixon are charged.

Hydro Scam

Toronto police issued an alert Saturday night, after a homeowner had her wallet stolen by a man posing as a hydro inspector. Officers say the suspect presented an official looking laminated identification card to the homeowner. After he gained entrance, he pretended to conduct a home inspection during which time he went through the victim’s purse.

Residents are urged to use caution before allowing strangers into their homes.
