Double Shooting In Scarborough

Two men suffered serious injuries in the incident, which occurred early Friday in Scarborough.

Police were called to 30 Gordonridge Pl., near Danforth and Midland, at about 1:15am. When they arrived they found one of the victims, a 41-year-old man, with a bullet wound to the leg. His injuries were considered  non-life threatening.

The victim apparently told police he was hit at a nearby highrise located at 10 Gordonridge Place. When investigators went there they discovered a second victim in his 20s who’d been shot twice in the chest.

He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

The Emergency Task Force descended on the scene, since it wasn’t known at the time whether the suspects were still in the area. But it appears whoever was responsible fled the area, and they were long gone by the time authorities started looking for them.

There’s no word on whether there were any witnesses to the attack.

Police say they don’t currently have any suspect information and the investigation continues.

The early morning shooting is just the latest in a string of violent incidents – including three murders – over the past week.

Anyone who can help police should call Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
