The attack happened around 2am at the home at 3455 Glen Erin Dr. Peel officers say there were a lot of people at the party, which means they have several witness interviews to conduct.
The male victim’s injuries are said to be very serious.
There’s no word yet on charges.
Woman’s Body Found In Park
It was a grim start to the New Year for Toronto Police who were called to the Eglinton and Leslie area after a woman’s body was found in a park.
A person walking near Serena Gundy Park off Rykert Crescent made the awful discovery around 9:20am Monday.
Authorities say the body is that of a woman, about 40-years-old. Her identity hasn’t been released and the cause of death isn’t known.
The death has been ruled suspicious and homicide detectives are on the case, but it has not been classified as a murder and police are not investigating it as such.
Crash In Little Italy
A man was rushed to hospital after he was struck by a car in Little Italy early Monday.
The accident happened around 3:30am at College and Crawford Streets.
The pedestrian’s injuries are said to be serious, but not life-threatening.
Traffic Services has handed the investigation over to officers at 52 Division.
Fatal Crash In Port Colborne
Three people were killed in a head-on crash on Highway 3 in Port Colborne Sunday night.
The fatal accident happened around 7:45pm at Clark Road. It appears that a westbound pickup truck hit an eastbound minivan.
Both people in the truck and one person in the van were killed and three others suffered serious injuries.
Firefighters were called to a warehouse in the city’s west end Monday night after a three-alarm fire broke out at about 8pm. A firefighter was taken to hospital with minor injuries sustained fighting the blaze, but he’s expected to be fine. There’s no word at this point on what started the fire.
