Driver Found Dead

A man was found dead in his truck early Saturday after a motorist spotted the vehicle in a ditch north of Pickering.

The discovery was made around 12:30am on Goodwood Road between the sixth and seventh concessions. The motorist called 9-1-1 and when emergency crews arrived they found the man in the car with what appeared to be severe head injuries.

Authorities believe the man died after his truck hit a hydro pole. His name hasn’t been released.

Snowy road conditions may have been a factor.

Authorities say she speaks with a French Canadian accent. If you spot her, call police at (416) 808-3200 or Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS.
