Dead Body Turns Out To Be Bad Feet

German police were wary as they broke into an apartment in the southwestern town of Kaiserslautern. After all, neighbours had detected an increasingly terrible odour emanating from one of the residences and they were sure detectives would find a dead body when they knocked down the door.
And there was reason to think they were right. The windows and blinds had been closed and no mail had been collected at the place for a week. So the cops dutifully entered the abode, holding their noses and expecting the worst. And they found it – although it wasn’t quite the ‘worst’ they were anticipating. Instead, they discovered a very much alive tenant, lying fast asleep in his bed. Beside him was a pile of unwashed and terrifically odiferous laundry he’d apparently been ignoring and something else he should have attended to. Cops claim the smell the neighbours detected was coming from the guy’s feet, which were even worse than the unwashed clothes.
After that, it was case – and hopefully door – closed, with the hope the man would take care of his dirty unmentionables, not to mention spring for some Odour Eaters.
