Stalled Car Causes Problems on Hwy. 401
It’s fortunate no one was hurt after a stalled car caused a minivan driver to lose control on Highway 401 east of Bayview. The van ended up on its side at about 1am after the driver swerved to avoid car, stalled out on the eastbound collector lanes. The minivan rear-ended the vehicle before it rolled.
The damage to the vehicles was significant but no injuries were reported. Road crews cleaned up the debris within an hour and the roadway was completely reopened for the morning rush.
