We’ve all heard of cars slamming through the walls and windows of homes, but a young Dartmouth, Nova Scotia couple sleeping in their century-old home got a nasty and considerably larger wakeup call Sunday when a Hummer ended up in their living room.
Homeowner Jason Murray says the sudden crash sounded like an explosion.
The blue Hummer was apparently going along on Dartmouth’s Ochterloney St . when it skidded, crashed through the home’s porch and smashed into the living room around 4:00am .
Murray was understandably freaked out, and believing his house may be on fire with all the smoke, called police and fire services. The driver, apparently in his early 20s with a woman of the same age riding shotgun, says it was an accident.
Fortunately nobody was injured, but Murray almost certainly wishes the young man was driving a mini-cooper when the accident occurred.
