Naked Man Tricked Into Going To Wrong Address

When does a practical joke become impractical? When it goes this far.

A woman in Palmerston North, New Zealand got into hot water after she used her cell phone to send a man a text message about a romantic rendezvous. The lady in question enticed a guy to come to her home and promised a sexual encounter with two women when he arrived. She suggestively suggested he take off all his clothes ‘to save time’ once he got to her address.

The guy jumped at the salacious offer and sped over. Following her instructions, the 31-year-old walked up to the front porch, shed all his clothing, threw it through an open window and opened the door. And that’s when the naked man saw not his fantasy but his nightmare.

The woman had deliberately sent him to the wrong address and he was confronted by an outraged and unknowing male homeowner, who didn’t quite see the humour in any of it. Police were called as the red faced suspect gathered up his clothes, helplessly trying to stammer out an explanation for his actions. He was arrested for unlawfully being on the property although his nudity didn’t seem to factor into the charge.

Authorities tracked down the careless caller and considered charging her, as well. Instead, both of the characters in this mini-drama were set free on the equivalent of peace bonds and told to behave themselves – a move that for police may have seemed above and beyond that original ‘call’ of duty.
