Enjoy Art Dusk ‘Til Dawn At Nuit Blanche

No plans for Saturday night?

From sunset to sunrise on Oct. 4 you’ll have the chance to check out the work of dozens of contemporary artists displayed across the city as part of the annual Nuit Blanche.

The event also gives you the opportunity to spend after-hours time in some of the city’s best known landmarks, including the Ontario Power Generation building, Maple Leaf Gardens, the Eaton Centre and St. James Cathedral.

CityNews will be bringing you artist profiles and project previews all week, including a look-ahead to a giant alien-like balloon inside the Eaton Centre, a light exhibition at City Hall and a Western cabaret inspired by Don Quixote at St. James Cathedral.

Other notable projects to be shown at this year’s event include a piece called “Zombies in Condoland” in which hundreds of the undead will take over College Park and Yoko Ono’s “Imagine Peace” installation in Liberty Village.

The renowned celebration of culture started in 2006 and quickly caught on with attendance for the 2007 edition doubling to an amazing 800,000 attendees.
