Police are warning residents in the Finch Avenue and Don Mills Road area to be on the lookout for a man accused of sexual assault.
A woman was allegedly attacked near McNicoll Avenue around 9:30pm on Thursday.
The 19-year-old had just stepped off a TTC bus when the suspect allegedly grabbed her from behind. She fought back and he threatened her, saying he had a knife and pressing an object against her throat.
She continued to scream, getting the attention of a nearby resident.
When the suspect saw that someone else was watching, he ran away.
The woman suffered minor injuries during the assault and was treated.
Police are now looking for a man described as:
5’8” – 5’10”
Short dark hair
Light-coloured t-shirt with decals on the shoulders

Suspect Flees After Sexually Assaulting 61-Year-Old Woman
Police are investigating after a 61-year-old woman was sexually assaulted early Friday morning.
At around 7am, the woman was walking eastbound on Lawrence Ave. E. when a man approached her from behind and attacked her.
The woman called for help, but the suspect got away, running westbound on Lawrence.
He is described as white, 5’8″, early 30s, medium build, clean-shaven, with blue eyes. He was wearing a striped blue/brown shirt.

Fire In Vaughan
Firefighters are battling the flames at an industrial centre in Vaughan.
The fire broke out at a building on Edgeley Boulevard around 7:50am on Friday.
Police have put a perimeter in place because of the nature of the materials in the unit, believed to be a paint facility.
There are no reports of injuries.
