Victim Identified In Murder-Suicide In Orangeville

Police have released the names of two people killed in an apparent murder-suicide early Saturday morning.
Heidi Ferguson, a 39-year-old mother of two, was shot in her Orangeville home in a domestic dispute that had been reported to police earlier in the evening.
She was airlifted to Sunnybrook hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
When police arrived at the home of her estranged husband, 42-year-old Hugh Ferguson, he had barricaded himself inside. He shot himself fatally as officers surrounded the house.
The Special Investigations Unit is investigating to determine what happened between the original report of trouble and the resulting deaths.
