Second Suspect Sought In Annex Murder

Police are searching for a second suspect (pictured above) in connection with a murder in the Annex.

Sebastian Herrera, 23, was killed on July 25 in an alleyway outside the Brunswick House, near Bloor and Major streets.

Investigators believe it was a crime of opportunity: Herrera was out for a cigarette with his girlfriend when the accused approached.

Investigators allege that the accused first robbed Herrera of a chain and Herrera gave up the jewellery willingly.

The suspect then allegedly pushed him to the ground and fired a single shot at the defenceless victim.

The suspect then ran back to the vehicle, which was driven by another man, and they fled southbound.

Herrera later died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. His death marked the city’s 31st homicide of the year.

A month later, on August 25, Marvin Jarrett, 22, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder and Attempt Murder.

Police are now looking for the man believed to be behind the wheel of the car.

He’s described as:
-white
-5’9″
-150 lbs.
-short, brown hair.
