Despite the best efforts of Ontario Provincial Police, no trace of the remains of Christina Calayca were found during a search on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old disappeared while out for a run on August 6, 2007. She was camping with friends at Rainbow Falls Provincial Park, just east of Thunder Bay.
Last month, a search organized by her family and friends gave new hope in the two-year-old mystery.
A dog picked up the scent of what could possibly be human remains.
Six OPP emergency response team members and two dogs once again headed into the park, looking for any sign of Calayca.
But they were unable to find anything.
