StreetBeat – Oct. 23 – Sex Assault Suspect Sought

Investigators have released security images in the hopes you can help them track down a suspect wanted for an alleged sexual assault.

A 53-year-old woman told police she was attacked around 11pm on Thursday, Oct. 15 while she was walking in the Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East area.

The man approached the woman and then followed her to a pathway where he sexually assaulted her, authorities said.

The suspect, who was caught on security cameras, is described as:

  • White, with an olive complexion
  • 30 to 35-years-old
  • 5’6”, with a medium build
  • Clean shaven with short, black hair
  • He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans

Fatal Accident

An investigation is underway after a woman was struck and killed on Finch near Neilson Road Friday morning as she ran to catch a bus.

The fatal accident happened around 7:30am, at Finch Ave. E and Blackbird Gate, close to the 63-year-old victim’s home. Her husband was also struck by the car and he and the driver were taken to hospital. The woman was declared dead at the scene.

So far, there’s no word yet on whether charges will be laid.

East End Crash

A driver was rushed to hospital in critical condition Friday morning following a crash on Kennedy Road, north of Lawrence.

The car rolled, ending up on its roof around 9:30am.

 


Car Plunges Off Scarborough Bluffs

A car plunged 30 feet after being pushed over the Scarborough Bluffs Friday afternoon.

The Volkswagen was apparently stolen and there was no one inside.

Crews fought the windy weather to pull it out.
