Two Toronto Police Officers Charged With Assault

Two Toronto Police officers have been charged with assault following an alleged altercation this past spring.

Richard Moore, 58, was allegedly attacked on April 24.

Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit believes that Moore was walking home when he passed two cops who were dealing with another person.

Moore and the officers allegedly exchanged words and the fight became physical.

Moore was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital for treatment.

Const. Edward Ing and Const. John Cruz are each facing one charge of assault causing bodily harm.
