Fatal Mississauga Crash Leads To Manslaughter Charges

A fatal crash in Mississauga has led to serious criminal charges.

Ronald Persaud, 28, died on December 16.  Peel Police believe that Persaud and another man got into a fight on Wednesday. The altercation happened around 5pm on Webb Drive.

Officers allege that shortly after the fight, the other man got into his car and struck Persaud.

“We have some reason to believe that this collision occurred as a result of that altercation,” said P.C. Adam Minnion.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital and later taken to a Toronto trauma centre, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Mohammad Al-Kassem, 25, of Mississauga, has been charged with one count of Manslaughter.

He will be attending the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Thursday for a bail hearing.

Investigators believe that other people may have seen the collision.
