A proposed strike by British Airways employees has been declared illegal by England’s High Court.
Crew members had been set to walk off the job over the Christmas holidays, starting on December 22.
According to the Unite union, 92.5 per cent of its members voted in favour of the job action. However, the court found that the union had not properly counted the votes from its members.
Employees will have to report to work over the airline’s busiest season.
The union said it will hold another vote.
Employees are opposed to job cuts and work practice changes they claim have been imposed illegally by the airline in an effort to cut costs.
