Toronto Police have released more details in the death of a woman murdered in front of her young daughter.
Laura Rios, 45, was killed on December 7. She was shot in the head outside her vehicle while her toddler was still buckled in to her car seat.
The fatal shooting happened in the parking lot at 2130 Weston Rd. just before 9pm.
On Friday, investigators revealed that a suspect was seen later that night running across Weston Road just before 9pm.
Two vehicles had to brake hard to avoid hitting the suspect. Once the suspect crossed the street, he got into a vehicle and drove away.
Police are appealing to those drivers who may have witnessed the suspect to contact them.
