Victim Identified In Fatal Brampton Shooting, Charges Upgraded

The victim of a fatal Brampton shooting has been identified.

Vachon Tatchell (picture), 21, was shot on Sunday evening. He died in hospital on Tuesday, Peel Police Constable J.P. Valade told CityNews.ca

Officers plan to upgrade the charges against the suspect in the case.

Investigators believe that the two men got into an argument at a home on Mordon Court in Brampton on January 24. The fight allegedly escalated and ended with a shooting.

Tatchell was hit in the stomach.

Kevin Phillips, 22, of Brampton was arrested on Monday and charged with aggravated assault. On Wednesday, Peel Police said they plan to upgrade the charges to second-degree murder.
