Muskoka Club Has Liquor Licence Suspended Two Years After Fatal Crash

A Muskoka club that served alcohol to three drunk men who went on to die in a car crash will have its liquor licence suspended during this year’s peak summer season.

Lake Joseph Club admitted to breaching the Liquor Licence Act in 2008, by serving drinks to Tyler Mulcahy, Kourosh Totonchian and Cory Mintz at the Water’s Edge restaurant in Port Carling.

Soon after the three Toronto men left the restaurant, their car crashed into the Joseph River and they were killed.

The licence suspension runs 45 days from June 1st to July 16th.

The Crown has also laid charges against ClubLink and three employees at Lake Joseph Club. The trial is scheduled for the spring.
