Reward Increased To $50,000 In Violent Bank Robbery Investigation

Toronto Police are still looking for three suspects in a violent robbery investigation and have increased the reward.

Any information could now lead to a $50,000 payment.

Investigators believe that the same trio of men who robbed three banks on February 1 have since stolen from an additional five banks.

The alleged robberies occurred in the following areas:

  • Rutherford Road and Dufferin Street
  •  Jane Street and Major Mackenzie Drive
  • Islington Avenue and Rathburn Road
  • Lloyd Manor Road and Eglinton Avenue West
  • Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West

“These individuals have shown that they are capable of repeated violence, and it is our hope that increasing the reward from $10,000 to $50,000 will lead to their arrest,” said William J. Crate, Director of Security, Canadian Bankers Association.

“The money that has been stolen in these robberies is the least of our concerns. Our top priority is ensuring that bank customers feel comfortable and secure doing their banking and that branch staff can operate in a safe work environment.”

The suspects are pictured below.
