It’s more of the same at Queen’s Park following two by-elections in the province.
Both the Liberals and the Progressive Conservatives managed to keep their existing Ontario seats.
It was a narrow win for the Grits as Bob Chiarelli hung on in Ottawa West-Nepean, while Steve Clark easily took Leeds-Greenville.
Chiarelli, 68, represented the riding for 10 years. He was an MPP from 1987 to 1997, but left to successfully run for the Ottawa mayorship.
He promised to promote seniors rights and better health care.
Clark, 49, replaced Bob Runciman. Runciman held the seat for 29 years before he was appointed to the Senate by Prime Minister Stephen Harper in January.
