Suspects Identified In Fatal Hamilton Triple Shooting

A young man died in hospital this weekend after he and two other innocent bystanders were shot at a Hamilton house party.

Police are searching for the two suspects who allegedly fired the shots into the crowd.

Brandon Musgrave, 18, was taken off life support and passed away Sunday.

“We are a Christian family. We have a lot of faith and we’re strong,” Brandon’s father said on Monday.

“But it’s hard. It’s very, very hard,” Roger Musgrave continued.

Brandon was an organ donor and the thought that his son was able to help others offers some comfort to Roger.

“Brandon did not die in vain. He saved seven people’s lives,” Musgrave said.

Musgrave was one of about 50 people at a house party Saturday night celebrating the first night of March Break when a fight broke out, apparently over a minor incident.

Two men allegedly  pulled out guns and fired into the crowd, hitting three people. Musgrave and the two other young men, ages 18 and 21, weren’t involved in the fight.

The two other victims have since been released from hospital.

A friend who was at the party said the violence may have been sparked when one person tried to change the music. A dispute may have ensued.

“When you cause so much pain to somebody else’s family, you should be able to turn yourself in,” Brandon’s mother Susan Musgrave said.

“Be a man and turn yourself in.”

Tyrone Anthony Chambers, 23 has been charged with:

  • second-degree murder
  • attempt murder
  • reckless discharge of a firearm x 2
  • possess firearm while prohibited x 2

Joshua David Warner, 21, has been charged with:

  • second-degree murder
  • attempt murder
  • reckless discharge of a firearm x 2
  • possess firearm while prohibited x 2
  • breach probation x 2

Both men are still at large. They are considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.  If you see them, call 911.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact the Hamilton Police Service at 905-546-4925 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
