StreetBeat – Mar. 17 – Elderly Man Without Vital Signs After East-End Crash

An elderly man was rushed to hospital Wednesday after he drove into a tree in the city’s east end.

Around 4pm, emergency crews arrived at the scene on Lawrence Ave. E., near Morningside Rd., and found the man without vital signs.

There are reports he may have had a heart attack or other medical condition prior to the crash.

The area was closed to traffic for the investigation.


Mississauga Double Shooting

Peel Police were called to a Mississauga parking lot for an alleged shooting early Wednesday.

The gunfire erupted around 1:45am on Webb Drive, near Burnamthorpe and Confederation Drive.

However, both the victim and the suspects had fled the scene.

Officers found a 29-year-old man with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds in hospital but are still looking for two suspects.


Three-Car Crash

Three people were sent to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle crash at Bovaird and McLaughlin Wednesday.

The accident happened around 1am, prompting authorities to close the intersection for several hours.

A City of Brampton pickup truck was one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
