100,000 Hockey Sticks Recalled Due To High Lead Levels

High levels of lead in kids hockey sticks prompted Bauer to launch a massive recall this week.

Health Canada flagged dangers in the junior and youth sticks after U.S. officials reported they failed to meet acceptable lead level standards. The bar is set a little bit higher in Canada, prompting the recall.

Bauer Hockey is recalling 100,000 sticks and has issued a global stop sale on 13 different products. The majority of the sticks were produced before 2008.

If you own one, you can return it and Bauer will replace it with an elite level stick.

Call Bauer’s hockey stick line at 1-888-734-0443 for more information.
