Bus Driver Charged With Being Impaired On The Job

A Michigan bus driver has been charged with impaired driving after passengers noticed his erratic behaviour en route to Toronto Friday night.

Around 10pm, as the coach was travelling on the eastbound QEW in Mississauga, some of the university students on board realized the driver was not in control and got him to pull over while they called police.

When officers arrived, they found the 47-year-old Northville, Michigan man had been allegedly taking drugs. They arrested him at the scene.

None of the 34 passengers were injured.

The driver was scheduled to appear in a Brampton court Saturday for a bail hearing.
