Province Expands Electronics Recycling Program

Your broken camera, unwanted phone or outdated MP3 player can now be recycled thanks to an expanded provincial program.
A total of 44 different electronic items and gadgets can be dropped off at over 500 collection sites across Ontario.

The recycling program is funded by the Ontario Electronic Stewardship, which collects fees from electronics manufacturers and importers.
The program is expected to divert 46,000 tonnes of electronics from landfills in the coming year.
