Man Seriously Hurt In Mississauga Crash

A man was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries following a crash at the Mississauga-Oakville border.

It appears his vehicle struck a garbage truck tire lying on the westbound Highway 403 at Dundas just before 5am Tuesday.

The victim was ejected from his car when it rolled after hitting the tire. The man, said to be in his 20s, was taken to a Toronto hospital via air ambulance.

The garbage truck reportedly continued along the highway and lost another tire. Several other vehicles hit the debris and suffered flat tires and other damage.

The area reopened around noon.
